Open Source Solutions was founded in 2025 by myself, Scott Moore, in Kansas City, MO. At present, OSS is a one-man-band.
I have a bachelors degree in Compuer Information Systems from the ABET-accredited Regis University in Denver, CO. I graduated in 2018 with Cum Laude honors and a GPA of 3.56.
I started my tech career as a temp for Google, came to hate the company, and moved on to Mediware (later renamed WellSky), where I did tier 1 and 2 technical support for specialty pharmacy software. I doubled my income when I went to Cerner and worked as a system engineer (basically on-premise and cloud devops). After 5 years of doing what I love, the company laid off 4000 people and I was one of the unlucky ones. I’m self-taught in Linux and have been using it exclusvively on all of my computers since 2013. That’s my experience in a nutshell.
Before my tech career, I was a salesman with management experience for about 20 years. I hated sales, which motivated me to get my degree and make a career change, and I never looked back. My business experience gives me a perspective that helps me understand and meet the needs of businesses.
